Suitability of Kinesis K28/K29 wheels for track use
I'm curious to hear people's experience wtih Kinesis wheels for track use, specifically K28 or K29. Do they hold up OK? Thanks ...

Kinesis was acquired by a Japanese company a few years back. My experience has been with the pre-acquisition K28 wheels. Good, strong, light weight wheels. I'd buy another set if I needed such a wheel.
I think the post acquisition company still makes a lot of the same wheels, but they also make some very blingly looking wheels. Don't know a thing about those.
Hope this helps.

I also know of several track-race 928's that run the OLD wheels with almost no problems.....however I have heard that the new ones are not as good....
I run CCW's C10's on my track 928 and love them.....strong and light at a fair price too

Lexani has no interest in supporting any of the kinesis models. they are strictly a bling manufacturer now. probably just bought the company for the tooling and market relationships. I use K18s and had the older models too. very nice and strong wheels for racing.

I've had Kinesis K58s on my 993 for a year and haven't had any issues. Carl aka CWay27 used them on his RSA for a couple of years before me. On my previous track car I used the K58s and didn't have any issues.
Yes, I like black wheels. Easy to keep clean

Nice looking RX-7. Rare are the guys running without a huge ugly wing.
Never had a problem with my K58s. Now I run CCW and don't have to bother with leakage issues.

No problem at the track, however, I would shy away from Kinesis wheels now since Lexani isn't supporting Kinesis wheels manufactured prior to their acquisition of Kinesis Motorsport. But man do I like my wheels a whole bunch.....

Thanks Carl, I do truly miss my rx7s. I also used to run John's Classic wheels (CCW) for years and had nothing but great service from him. His pricing has gone up a bunch from when I used to buy from him though. I'm glad to see his business taking off.
