You may be able to build enough heat in the R 6's. Guess you could try keeping your driver's -side window up until the exit from 10B. then down and back up after start/finish. He he.

I did RA 5-6 years ago in Jan. w/PCA. Sat. morning was 17F and"warmed up" to 22F. Back then my instructor drove a Radical. He really enjoyed my heated seats, blasting heater with the windows down. Drove with street tires, and AWD, traction was no problem. On Sunday it was mid-30's and drizzle.I swear it must have add 10-20HP to my TT. With 500HP, AWD traction, street tires and drizzle, I was the fastest car out there.

What are you guys talking about?!

You have a windshield and everything, right?

Racing a Porsche in 38 degrees is not the kind of racing where you can get cold, this is the kind of when racing that sometimes gets little cold.
(although it's more physical so it warms you up more).

38 degrees with a 125 mph wind is cold. Pansy or not, I'm sticking to my story.

If you don't have a windshield it is.

Fine.

I learned a valuable tool to driving in the cold a few years ago. Fill your drink bottle with tequila to clean it, but don't pour it out. It keeps you warm and makes the racing WAY cooler(no pun intended)!!

I've used hot (not boiling duh) water in my cool suit box. Works surprisingly well. No luck for the feet though but you can get those inserts for ski boots that use chemical heat

Gammeldansk is for professionals.

Its been a long time but I lived in Canada and used to race moto-x by summer
and did ice race (studs not spikes) a few winters. Yer right- that was chilly-x.
Trez chilly. But my blood has long since thinned out- I'd die now.

I'd propably die too, been here in warmth too long.

We did it in -20 degree celsius and otherwise you were ok but I remember warming hands on the exhaust...

Lot of grip from those spiked tires though!

Fun day. Sunny, still (thankfully) and cold. I ran lightweight wool ski top and bottom and was never cold.
I put on the R6's and after starting at 30 psi I go them up to 39- I don't know how long it took because once I got them and the car warm I stayed out- first stint was 60 mins. 2.5 hrs total- including 3 laps with me driving Nic Jonsson and 2 laps him driving me. I gave what tips I could in that limited time but he's pretty hopeless.

Ok- I got that 180 degrees wrong. I'm the one who suks. He's weening me off the DE line. Here are some sad iPhone photos. Kinetic was shaking down their new BMW for Daytona- one of the co-drivers had his Carrera GT there (the other his R8). Thats a MB AMG Black and there were 3 Nissans from Freedom Racing.
