Geoffrey,
You wouldn't have the page number for that, would you? I would like to make sure mine was done properly.
You are referring to standard workshop (seven books, I think) for the 993, correct?

For the inside lap belt mount, it's pretty easy to drill a hole in the center tunnel and mount a big plate (or oversized washer) on the other side. I put off doing that for a long time for some dumb reason. Just watch out for the lines running thru the tunnel.

The information is found in the 964 Body manual under conversion to RS section. Since the 993 and 964 center sections are almost identical, this should work for you. I have not found a corresponding section for the 993.

Ideally, I would start with your seat position and work from their to ensure that you respect the appropriate angles/distances that are outlined in the harness installation instructions. The ideal lap belt and sub-strap mounting locations will depend on your body/seat position in the car. I have welded steel plates on the lap mounting points (under the RS carpeting in the photo below), and eyebolts with appropriately sized washers in the sub-strap mount locations (the locations of which are somewhat influenced by the "anatomy" under the seat).
