indoor karting technique question for you experts
Is it better to enter a turn at full throttle and slide through the first part of the turn but do the turn at full throttle or to do a quick lift and avoid most or all of the sliding? Trying to figure out if keeping your foot in it to keep the revs up (which is very important in these things) outweighs the scrubbing of speed from sliding.

In every indoor kart I've ever been in sliding is very bad. You lose your momentum and it does nothing to keep your revs up.
At a 12 hour enduro in Charlotte some of the guys who have run at the international level were running and they were extremely smooth with absolutely minimal sliding and they were the fastest. Although our 15 y.o. ringer was just a tick off of them driving the same way.

Do they all have that massive arm wrenching understeer or is that just the crap ones you get at 'Karts R Us'?

I've been trying to figure this one out myself. At V17 I'm practically backing into turns, and hardly lifting, flicking the kart full sideways at turn in. Don't know if it's fast, but it's fun.

On temporary vacation
full throttle 100% of the time and then drag the brake as needed in turns and on approach. Don't lift with indoor karts.

Sliding yes, drifting no. In other words, a normal spectator shouldn't notice.
When entering corner throw your body out, slide the cart slightly, both to slow it down and to turn it in direction before apex. You basically let the front wheels trail. Apex should be hit with a slight opposite lock. Exit should have no slide at all. Trail Brake/ Brake/ Lift/ No Brake - all depends on corner. Just make sure you carry the speed out and don't scrub the fronts on exit.
