Manager: Alonso would love to join Ferrari one day

Double Formula One champion Fernando Alonso would love to join the Ferrari F1 team one day according to his manager Lius García Abad. But According to Alonso's manager there are currently no negotiations with the Maranello based team.

Italian media claimed on Monday that Alonso would have signed a contract at Ferrari to join the team as of 2011. Alonso's manager though doesn't want to jump into any conclusions. "We don't have to make a secret out of it that Fernando would love to join a team such as Ferrari one day. But we're not even close to the year 2011 so it's still a bit early to talk about such a possibility," Garcia said. "Formula 1 is in a difficult position at the moment due to the economic situation so it is extremely difficult to look at any long term plans in F1."

Kimi simply doesn't care. He could walk away tomorrow and be just as happy. He is evidently the first F1 driver with a life.

As for Ferrari taking Alonso, it's all downhill since Schumacher left IMHO, the team has been slowly dismantled ever since.
Still a great F1 team/organization/political machine, but it's not what it was under Schumacher.....sorry, he really built an organization under Todt and company.

Schumer didn't build a damn ting , he came to Benetton as a youth won 2 WDC due to Tom Walkinshaw . Left Benetton and took Key personnel with him , to a Ferrari team that was already ran by Todt...

Instead of giving it all to schumacher , he had the best team and best car ( Todt ) and he has never won a WDC without RB ....

SO i guess the RB supporters can say RB made MS ...I will also add the 5 WDC won by Schumacher , would have been won By Barrichello , if Schumacher had stepped aside or was no longer with the team... Hence Ferrari never needed Schumacher to win those 5 WDC ..

schumacher himself undermined his own WDC , by not allowing his teammate to challenge for wins , he will always be remembered as a Putz and will never be a drivers , driver like Senna, like Clarke , like Fangio , et,al ...
