great wife or what

So my wife went to the track with me for the first time just before Thanksgiving. It was at Laguna Secca and we tracked from Seattle. On the way home she obsrved that I would be better off with an enclosed traiter (have a modded 8 mos old open featherlite). Thought about it for awhile, but we compromised. I felt it would not be the best way to use the money to get an enclosed trailer at this time, especially since I "need" Race technologies Video 4 to go with my DL1, and about $3k worth of body work over the winter. She agreed. Life is good

Having a understanding wife is a big plus in this hobby. I needed a new motor and just before I was to send it off to be built I blew the tranny and also had a set of wheels that failed. I was bummed. The wife just looked at me and said fix it right. I told her the probable estimate and she just smiled and said, go for it as I like seeing you so happy. I love her so much and the rest of you guys stay away, she is mine!!!!

I guess I better do some good Christmass shopping this year:biggulp:

My wife, who does not share my interest but is understanding, was talked into riding with me in one session at a DE in the instructors group. When the session was over she jumped out of my little 150 HP rat and exclaimed, "you need to get a faster car"! Got to love the lady.

Same event weekend you brought your wife, I brought mine and she made it all of 2 laps. By lap 1.5 she was already saying "get me the F*&% out of here" and trying to unbelt herself. I really wanted her to like it, but the motion was too much for her.
Otherwise she see's it makes me happy and is supportive.

I'm sure you're talking about V.R.'s? If your talking about mine It was a picture hanging in a customers office.

While yours is quite funny, I'd like to see some more photos of that girl in VR's!!!

My wife helped volunteer (pit in, registration, etc) at our chapters first DE. She drove the track in the charity parade laps and earned a ride in a 997 GT3 in the instructors group. After the event she told me to put a deposit down - which I could not do fast enough :D

VR - there is no doubt that your current avetar has been the best EVER seen on RL!!!

it took me a while to figure this out, but eventually I realized that all car modifications and such actually cost double what you think. This is because you must do the car, but then at least match it with a token of equal or greater value to the wife/girlfriend to keep her happy.

I'm a pretty decent driver but my wife can kick my butt on just about any track when she puts her mind to it. Amazing talent in a car. But then again, we met at the track.

It is indescribably pleasant to have a wife who supports and understands your passions.
