Question Mounting Cool Shirt /Air cooler in trunk? How?

Hey Guys,

I'm putting a cool shirt/Cool air system in my GT3 and would like to mount the 24qt cooler in the trunk. My question is where do you route the water lines through to the interior?? Second question, can the air hose fit too?

Pics or links are appreciated.

Thanks,

Vic

I doubt the air hose would fit but it might depending on the size.

Couldn't find the thread so here are some pics......

You Rock Dell

Right now i have been using the cool shirt bag system behind my drivers seat. Works fine, but I want cool air on my face...

The air hose is 1 1/2". I may have to get a stand alone helmet cooler for behind the pax seat. vs the combo air/water cooler unit in the boot.

What do you think?

Personally, I don't care either way for the air system. I have not run one so I can't comment but I can say that I don't think to myself "gee I could really use that" the way I did about the cool shirt. The heat in the warmer months here in the south is downright uncomfortable at times. The coolshirt is the cat's meow.

With that said....
I would maybe try to modify something to get both hoses to run off the box the way they were intended. I don't see why you can't modify the opening of the firewall hole. Just make it a bit bigger and then protect between the firewall metal and tubing to prevent ripping.

The wifey and I are off to watch a movie......

I thought so too until I bought a blower and blower helmet. Much better. On warm days where I might not want to mess with the shirt, the helmet blower takes the edge off. I don't even use the cooler, just the fan sucking outside air. Its worth it. IMO

I use the cool shirt with a hood and I can say without reservation it is waaaaaaaay better for me than the CS alone. My head got hotter than my torso and this thing is GREAT! Just don't walk around with it or Mike I. will follow you around calling you a giant sperm.....

Yeah, y'all deserve to be in the title game (detect sarcasm). Both teams we BEAT are playing eachother.....how does that work? What would have been great is a TX-OU title game so we could lay the beatdown a second time.

I would take that. Would love another shot. That said, as we hijack. A three way tie and Tech score over you does not count? Most TX fans just want to see it their way and not see the big picture. Three way tie, we can't just look at our two scores with out considering Tech score over TX. Now that there is a three way tie you have to go to other factors to decide who went and we had the better stats. Thats that.

Later

Thanks Dell, I'll have to really consider how much work i want to do here, sounds like a massive pain in the ***. I already have the sperm shirt and the bag system behind my seat so I'll get a blower and start there. Hmmm I could tap into the HVAC...

I wonder how much the electric A/C from the RSR costs...

I fear I may have another project on my hands. Damn, more Jewlery for the wife.

I have an electric helmet a/c system in my cup car. It will cost you around $3k but it's fantastic. I don't even use the cool suit except during enduros or on very very hot days.

Does your a/c still work? Why not just turn it on?
