What is the current EMT procedure for removing the helmet without putting any upward load on the head/neck?

Even if you remove the visor and stick your hand in there and behind the neck, the helmet (if fitted properly) will be snug enough to cause some resistance and "pull" on the head, essentially trying to stretch the neck up.

I just spoke with the Director Of Operations and Safety at PBIR he has 3 of these units at the track. you can buy them as driver installed or EMT installed, they obviouslly have the EMT installed and the bulb works with both units

Now they are a requirement for Grand-Am

Interesting to go back to the point ltc brings up.

Fire-resistant?? Doubt it is. However everything else in the helmet has to be.
