Default 964 RS engine mounts

If I change my 964 engine mounts to RS mounts on a street car, would you recommend I add the Rennline carrier support because of the mount change? I'm considering changing due to the left hydraulic mount leaking. Will I feel more vibration from the engine? Anyone have a good spare left stock hydraulic mount or a set of RS mounts to sell? PM me if you can help. Thanks, Fred

I put WEVO solid mounts on my 964 and I didn't see any noticeable difference in road noise. I have a spare RH side motor mount.

Irrespective of the mounts (somewhat), if you are tracking your car the carrier support is a good idea for a mere $75.

I ordered one last week myself.

reinforce the original one and go with the WEVO mounts. Did it 4 seasons ago on the cup car and haven't looked back. cracked 2 carriers prior to that while using the factory solid mounts.

wow, this is timely. ...i just finished my motor (note new avitar) and took it off the engine stand. didn't know anything about this cross brace reinforcement... Looks like it's time to take crossbar off and fire up the welder.

Brant -- I've done so much welding on this car of mine (have used up one of those 4" dia mig spools of wire) that I have no problem welding this crossbar...
