Default Tires in the basement

So my friend tells me that I have to keep all my good tires in the house through the (chicago) winter. If he could he would sleep with his. I put mine in the (finished) basement, but they stink. Anybody have an antedote?

Cheers

David

Stink?

Stack them up and cover them with a garbage bag.

Hiya David

Glad to see you're going racing. We'll probably be running together on occasion. Be kind.

Store the tires away from any electric motors. Ozone is bad for 'em.

soak a rag w/ WD40 and throw it in the bag..helps keep them fresh, probably not so good for the smell in the basement though

As I understand it's also desireable to let the air out of the tire as well, store them deflated.
