Not that there is anything wrong with that.
This from the guy that's getting slapped around in the cheeks all the time with 'shafts'.

And, assuming that the record pace is a class benchmark, that means you are getting about 94% out of your car running 2:33s. I say that's pretty good for a 320HP C4-cab

Also, to give you some idea about the difference in groups, greens are running in the mid 3:10, with blues running around 2:50. Fast Yellow and virtually all in white pull that down to the sub 2:35 range. Red runs the same times as blue.

Thanks for the comparison data!

Well, I wish I could say I was running 2:33s, but I only did it once! Had a bunch more between 2:34 and 2:37!

Agree with your run group comparison In my last run on Sunday, there were a few instructor cars out there, but I got passed only by GladwIll
...and hung with him for about, oh.... 1 lap

That's hilarious.

Here's mine (different weekend, but the same idea).

She wants to go out again. That's a good sign for me..... More track time.

Russell, was that a hot lap or just a parade lap? My kid now wants to go out for a hot lap.

Hot lap. MSR member day. Small crowd. Had the hard top on, street tires, etc., and drove 6 tenths. Kept my distance from the other guys. Also took my daughter out. She was even more into it; now has her own set of favorite turns.

Be careful, though... Now they think that parade laps are boring. Have had to resort to parade laps in the Avalanche to give them the trill they seek. Apparently, adrenaline addiction is hereditary.

Russell, wait until they get older. My college freshman is waiting for me to fall into the grave so he can "have" my 930. NOT! I think he's still kicking himself for not taking my up on my ONE AND ONLY offer for him to drive the 930 - he passed because he was afraid of the car.

As for last weekend, track was great, instructors were great. Steve Kent rode with me as did Doug Molny. Both gave some great insight to getting faster on the track. Second session on Sunday with Steve was a real learning experience. Hope to do a bit of lead and follow with him next time (assuming I can find the short in my brake light circuit that keeps blowing the brake light fuse!). Thanks Steve and Doug. I really appreciate the suggestions and coaching!

eclou - sorry I was all over you in some of the turns in Saturday's sessions. Was not trying to harrass you. Just doing a pathetic attempt at working on my lines.

VR - need some coaching from you next time. Not planning to do the October DE as I will have just completed the Hallett race the previous weekend. That said, I would like to try the DE at Harris Hill in November. Just not sure if that will conflict with a Mav event. Dave, have you driven the San Marcos course yet? If so, thoughts?

Hot laps are next for her. Hey, I would be more than happy to get her into driving. Much better than her current activities of acting/modeling, golf and gymnastics. Well, the golf is ok but it's so boring being her caddy.
