There is nothing like the sound of automatic weapons fire at the range while running right past it on the Shenandoah Course! Or the sound of loudly squealing Caprice tires from the Jefferson Circuit while running Summit Point.

If we are going to do this right, we need the older square body style police packaged Vics and Caprices w/ carbs, dual exhaust, "moon" hubcaps and (terrible in the rain)original Eagle GTs. I owned and drove so many of those cars...I might do pretty well
Driving those cars through the streets in a big city quickly is where I developed my bad habit (which some vague remnants remain and I occasionally fall into) of braking hard, tossing the car and letting the tail flip around. It is not very effective unless you need to turn a car w/o going into the incoming traffic on you street at the begining of the turn or the oncoming lane of the one you're turning to. It works great in a policed up family sedan..less so in a 930
For the grand finale, we could have a Police package Suburban/Tahoe/Durango class...now that could get dicey!

We had a guy come last year to a DE in a rental Mufftang. They too had to change out brakes and flip the tires before turning it back in.
Flogged the sheisse out of that car too.

Been there, done that.
Once me and a friend rented a 2005 Mustang V6 slushomatic for Sebring Winterfest because our shared Lancer Evo developed a problem. My right arm got a lot stronger from all the point-bys. The rear rotors were grooved by the end. Returned it like that. No extra charges from Hertz. And that was precisely the time when paying for extra insurance made sense.
In the Northeast there is a guy (or maybe was) who regularly tracked a Mercury Marauder (a spiced up Grand Marquis) with LSD and Pirelli slicks. Quite a show. He was quick and in the rain with rain race tires he was the fastest guy on the track.
The local PCA chapter a few years ago rented a bunch of Lincoln Town Cars for the instructor day as a teaching tool. You learn weight transfer very quickly in a car like that. All your inputs are very much visible from the outside as the nose goes up and down by up to 2 feet.
A friend of mine rented a Shelby GTH recently and took it to the track. He enjoyed it.

A friend of mine rented a Neon at Homestead after his 944 Turbo developed problems. He also got tired of the constant point-bys and this was his solution...
