How do you clean gas jugs??
I've got some "mung" in the bottom of my 5 gal. platic gas jugs. Is there an effective way to clean this out? It is dry now. I'm not sure I want to put this stuff back into suspension by filling the jug and then put the contaminated gas into an engine system. I'd like to clean it out completely. This may be a stretch, but would that alcohol based fuel treatment for cold weather work???
I guess I could replace the jugs. It would be less $$ and trouble then injector/fuel pump work.
How much of this stuff is in the bottom of the gas tanks of all my vehicles?? Scary!!!

I use a little splash of gas and then swish it around untill everything is loose. You can toss in some 3/8 or so sized nuts to help loosen any gunk. Slosh it around and dump it out. Repeat untill clean enough. Let the slosh gas just dry up or use it in the mower after filtering out the big chunks.
