Mosport or Road Atlanta?

The difference is that the first part of the T12 Road Atlanta (Flat out, under the bridge) is no big deal. Whereas at Mosport, you are braking & turning to the left, while cresting the hill to a blind apex. The 2nd halves of the turns are similar, with similar apex speeds, expect Mosport is narrower the whole way down.

Here's a good Mosport video.
Very wet for the start of the race---It dries out about 1/2 way through it.

You clearly don't drive my car, in which anyone including a top pro would need to brake. Scotto, Burger & Savenor, Jim Hamblin, and locals like Ernie Jakubowski & Tim Sanderson all brake there. If I drove a spec miata or a 944, I would guess it is nearly flat out.

Colin, correct, 944 spec cars flat through 1 and 2 but does take a bit of faith for that to happen. Ran 3 hr enduro at Mosport in the fall, with one of my rentals. Most fun race , I had all year, other than Road Altanta.

Similar car to 38D's here, and you would want to brake if interested in coming out the other side of 2.

Indeed;
I finally got front straight-thru-1-through-2-toward-3 down to being a "flat-breath-flat-breathe-flat affair." Virtually no brake. Takes some real fortitude, even in my pokey car.
Turns like 2 at Mosport do not necessarily reward going in like the howling wind. You want to come OUT fast. If you go in like gangbusters, you probably either scrub... or die. Coming in with some discretion, and accelerating out might be quicker. Might also prolong ones longevity.
Where's the datalog?

I would really like to see the facilities at Mosport be upgraded a bit but, I have driven both and track wise the winner is Mosport.

Hope to race Mosport in the next year or two. I've heard its an amazing track.
Learned to drive and race at Road Atlanta. I think #1 at Road Atlanta, if driven at the speed needed to be quick, was harder to learn than 12.

Yes but the consequences for a mistake aren't quite the same.
