LSD for 901 gearbox - what are my options?
I've been debating on installing a limited slip in my 901 tranny on my 914 race car. Quaife is what comes to mind, but anybody know of other options?
thanks
thanks

Thanks guys,
I've now learned the difference between LSD and TBD...never knew the difference...other than price!!
Now, the real question: for all of you out there that have a 914...does it REALLY make a difference?

Yes, it really makes a difference. Talk to the guys at Guard - they will ask for specifics about how you use you car. I have two race boxes .... one of each and I prefer the LSD over the TBD. Lift throttle transitions are much better behaved with the LSD in my opinion.

Does it make a difference - hell yes - 3.5 - 4 sec a lap at Kyalami first time out in my 2.2, now a 2:14 odd lap as an example.... car feels so much more stable under acceleration and braking you have the confidence to add a little more to your cornering speeds.
The GT diff is so damn pretty you might want to not install it and put it on the mantelpiece as an ornament. GT also do plates for the older ZF diffs as well.
Paul Gaurd posts on Pelican as "Geary" - I think he also posts here occasionally under the same ID.
