PCA Summit Point Sprint Race in-car clips
Here are 2 clips from Saturday's Oct the 6th PCA Club Sprint Race 1, group 3. My lexan window is pretty dirty from all the oil dry that was on the track going into turn 1 on the start of the 1st lap, but you can still see, just a little hazy. Good times this weekend!

It was a great race weekend at Summit Point, WV. Autobahn Ambition Magazine was there covering the action.

Nice drive Derek. Isn't it amazing how long you can get held up at Summit. Mid Ohio looks like another track where you could spend some laps stuck behind slow cars. Did Kenny Pryor make the event? He should have been in a nicely prepared black GT3.

Skip, great hearing from you. Hope to see you out on the circuit soon.
Renvagn, although I don't know Kenny, I don't think he was there because he would have been running A or B production and would have been in the Group 3 Sprint run group w/ us and I would have remembered a Black GT3. As far as getting stuck behind slower cars, it happens, but thee was only approx. 33 cars in our run group, so the overall speed was fairly high. NASA is where it gets stacked up. We had over 75 cars at Hyperfest this year which makes you get extremely creative w/ passes. I was running 1:19's last weekend w/ PCA as opposed to 1:21's at NASA due to rush hour traffic.

Derek,
I've moved to South Florida, which is why I wasn't there and getting out of your way. My wife continues to try to convince me plan a trip to the track up there sometime, but we'll see. Maybe I'll come up for the club race next year once I finally get back on the track and improving.

Great vid - that is fun! I've driven Summit only once back in 2001. Are there still several different surfaces (asphalt, concrete, etc.) or have they re-paved since then?

Skip, I got it now. Well will I see you at Sebring???? The Chesapeake boys will be assembled and ready to play in some warm weather.
Billy Martin, great to hear from you! It's been a long time. As you can see I have already upgraded from the 944 GT3S car that you instructed me in and back to the 911 roots. Having a blast. Thanks again for your help at VIR. I guess that was about 2 years ago... you were one of my favorite instructors and taught me a lot about the element of ***** when I drove w/ you. Thanks again.
Ron, thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I think I will keep her. It was great meeting you and your buddy at Summit. I'm sure I will be seeing you in the circuit down the road. We ended up pretty well with the enduro because of our well planed or blind luck pit strategy. 1st in class and 3rd and 4th overall, yeah, I think we'll take it. Anyway, great hanging out and take care of that Ford GT.

Derek,
The car is at the shop right now getting a whole bunch of stuff done to get it ready for my first track event since March this year, yes it will be at Sebring at the end of October. I am really considering doing the club race there next year, but doubt if my speed will have increased much if any, so I will still be very good at watching my mirrors.
Hope to see you at Sebring in February.
