Lighter battery?
I'm looking for a battery "similar in size" to OE per SCCA racing rules. The Optima weighs nearly the same as OE and I cant use the little Odessy due to size.
Anyone found anything else?

If you want to save some money on a braille battery look for the Deka brand. Theyre usually half the price, and made by the same company that makes the braille batteries. I dont think either is legal in scca though because of the similar size requirement.

Uhhh... IAt the risk of revealing too much...
Most large cities have a battery re-cycler/re-builder. Purchase a lighter and smaller battery. Buy an empty battery case. Put small battery in large case, connect properly and reseal. I am sure you understand what I am getting at... unless they take the battery out, it all looks stock!

Wouldn't you still need to fill the case with fluid (acid)? Granted that isn't as heavy as larger lead plates, but some of the advantage dissipates. AS
