Default Who says you can't use summer tires in the winter!!!

The April 7, 2007 NNJR's Pocono event was held in the sub 32 degree weather.

Even race tires are ok in that kind of temp.

Check this clip of my first session on Saturday:

The Hankook DOT-R's are more of an autocross compound designed to heat up quickly. Definitely worked to your advantage. I was at Pocono this weeked and friday was a high of about 32. I ran Hoosier A6's and they worked great. Heated up to full stick in about two laps and never got greasy. I don't think that would work if it were 90 degrees out. I know the guys on MPSCs were not having much fun.

Oh no.

I'll be running out of tires soon.

Ed, do you have time to post how to connect RPM to Traqmate GPS unit.

Ed:

Take your time. Getting your car ready for the season is way more important.

Hankook makes both an Auto Cross compound and a Track compound. I ran the Track compound at VIR an Summit over the last month and in very cold temps (Mid 30's) they warmed up after a few laps a had great grip. Very pleased with them.
