I really like the HT-10's, probably my favorite pad for the price. I ran a couple of set of DTC70's and think they are slightly better for my driving style but am not sure they are worth the extra price. I just ran my first set of PFC97's and was quite impressed with their consistency and longevity. I think the Hawk pads do have more initial bite though.

I have had terrible "luck" with Hawks.
Why screw around, get PFC or Pagid...

I've tried Pagids (orange), Comp Friction (90 series??) and Hawk Blues and HT 10s. I prefer the HT10s to all others. The pagids left a film and essentially had to be "rebedded" at events after the car sat in the garage for a few weeks. The folks I've seen who used the blacks did not have this problem but they appeared to be almost as dusty as the Hawks. The comp frictions were great but incredibly dusty. The Hawk Blues were great but as I stepped up braking over the past few years they would smoke- I went to the HT10s and couldn't be happier. They're a bit dusty but that's what the air hose (at events) and simple green and power washer (after events) is for. They're very communicative (easy to modulate) and stop me like a wall.
My wheels gleam without much effort (FM10s and 5s) if you let the crap build up (no matter what pad) you'll have hell getting it off.

I ran a set of the 19's and also liked them. I haven't tried the 29's. I can't say they were "better" than DTC70's but I did like them. And yes, I also think Orange's suck.
