After reading all your opinions (of which I am very thankful), I have narrowed down my 2007 and 2008 track season goals:
1. Use the Cayman S for the 30+ events in '07
2. Ride with as many different instructors at different track and "exctract" as much info. and knowledge they are willing to share
3. Get to intermediate level (white group) by the end of the '07 season
4. Buy a dedicated track car for the '08 season
5. Get familiar in the new track car at several DE events in '08
6. Give club racing a shot at towards the end of the '08 season
You don't think is possible?
I guess only time will tell.....
Now back to the track car for '08, which 911 should I start "thinking" about knowing that I would like to club race at least once?
I would think anything from an RSAmerica and below would probably very well satisfy my needs, but then again I count on your opinions....

Now, if I can just get those nice folks up in the Northeast to fly me up to Watkins Glen, we can drove together & work on your droving.

Buy yourself a 911SC set up for G class PCA club racing for $20-25k.
DO NOT build a track car yourself from scratch. It will cost twice as much to do it right from scratch.

I think I would surprise you, Tit.S-Man...
The Glen & Road Atlanta or the only 2 tracks that I have "understood" after just a couple laps. For the latter, I had a great teacher (Seth Thomas). For the former, it just was intuitive for some reason.
