Another 5-point harness question
 

I was thinking of installing the H-style 5-point harness; which length does one use for a 911? I see 75" and 48". Also, what is the difference between "snap-in" and "bolt in"? I've seen installations using the stock belt mounting areas - which one is that?

If you're shoulder harness is going to attach to a roll bar, the 48" will do. If you're going to route over a harness bar to hook into the rear seatback bolt location, you'll need the 75". I use snap in connectors for all my belts. That's where you mount an eye bolt and the belts have a spring loaded snap on the end. Makes removal easy. Bolt in is just that - not easily removed. You can also use wrap around ends, which would work attaching the shoulder straps to a rollbar - again a bit of a pain, but not difficult, to remove. For the lap belts, I removed the stock seat belt bolts and replaced them with eye bolts, then snap in the lap belts. Stock belts still work for daily driving. On the shoulder belts, as I mentioned, you can replace the rear seatback bolts with eye bolts, or you can also, with some extra steel backing plates, put eyebolts through the rear firewall.
