Race wheels to go with a 934 Look??

Im pretty sure the 934's ran the old style 3 piece BBS wheel, with the gold spider web pattern. They also ran the BBS fan wheels, although you'd probably have to get a 2nd mortgage on your house to afford them. You might check some of the vintage race prep shops like http://962.com/

Gary:
I used to race these cars,.....LOL,....
Indeed, they came with the old flat centered BBS wheels that are NLA. Most of the used ones would not be safe after these many years.
These cars also were delivered with the old 5 spoke cast magnesium wheels used on 3.0 RSR's and 917's.
One alternative might be a set of Fikse FM-5's done in satin or flat black.

Can you give some details on your experiences driving the 934?
Basically.I love their LOOK!! And would like the "LOOK", to use as a street car. We live in a small town out in the country (alot of nice winding roads tho). Less than 10,000 people. But 8500 of them have Honda CRX's with flares everywhere but the sunroof, and Mustang shopping carts (in the words of my mechanic). Just wanted to have something totally "Tough" looking that would be out of the norm.I have a '69 that is upgraded to a IROC look with the steel flares, cool tail etc.
I have enjoyed your emails in the past for the depth you go in your responses and the content of your information. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
I had a man offer me some BBS Wheels, sizes were 12x16 and 14x19....yes 19 is what he said....twice. These are centerlock wheels with hubs for $2600.
Thanks again.

Hi Gary:
Those wheels you were offered were 935 wheels; very rare and should be x-rayed and zyglo'ed before use. If they checked out as OK, that's one helluva good deal.
LOL,...the 934 was quite an experience,.... Call me sometime and I'll give you the sorid details. The 935 was easier to handle, if you can believe it.
