Question Rear tie-down points on an 88 Carrera

I just purchased an 88 Carrera in Atlanta and plan on trailering in back to Indy this weekend (550 miles). Its an enclosed 38' featherlight showcar trailer with e-track floor mounting the length of the trailer. I planned on running the 3000 lbs. straps over each tire but some of the guys in our showcar dept. told me that you also need to strap it laterally in an x pattern underneath the the nose and the tail to ensure the car does not move side ways into the wheel wells of the trailer. I think this is overkill, but better be safe than sorry. I know about the two front tow loops, but is there anything solid in the rear to tie to that any of y'all have used before? I tried searching the racing posts, but found nothing that helped.

Thanks for your time.

My '87 930 has front and rear factory tie downs. I would think that you would have both also. Tieing in an "X" will help prevent side to side movement. Better safe that sorry...
