Post Torsion Bar--solid or hollow

Aside from being lighter weight, are there any other advantages to hollow torsion bars? Any downside to HTB's?

Thanks,

GREGER

That they are lighter is the main benefit. Some have said they react quicker, but more people, some who should know, have said that's baloney. Not aware of any downsides.

Hi Greger:

Bill & Geoffrey speaketh the truth here; tubular bars are both lighter and cost more $$.

I'd also offer that you get what you pay for and I'd recommend the T-bars made by Glen Sander Engineering. These are the only ones we will sell & install. Lots better IMHO, than "brand X".
