Post Gonna sell my S2 track car

I think im gonna sell my S2 track car.......
the car was never raced just went to D.E's
I built the car to race with the p.c.a but a love of rally is pulling me away from my p-car,
I plan to build a miata for the club/pro rally.
I have owned the car sense 99 and loved it and taken very good care of it. I will be deeply saddend to see it go.
specs:
engine
3.0l 16v rebuilt in 2002
900miles on motor sense rebuild
total miles 72k
motor made 192hp & 201tq to wheels with stock chip, Motor has a mild p&p with a five angle vavle job all parts where balanced and blue printed. The motor was bored to the first oversize (104.5mm) and has a new set of mahle pistons and new lifters.

Trans:
A stock S2 unit with the addition last year of a 80%zf lsd from "PHII" The trans had new seals and bearings installed when the lsd was put in.

Suspension:
Moriss dampers dbl. adjustable remote resivore setup, front control arms in late 2001
with spherical bearing mounts on arms with spherical caster mounts and camber plates.
400lbs springs in front 600lbs rears
968 Mo30 rear sway bar.

New set of sparco evo seats (less than 1000miles)
sparco harness

custom fully welded cage

gt-racing front spliter

porterfield pads and newer rotors, stainless lines, ate blue fluid
centerforce clutch
Some other stuff that i cant remember

Car is 2770lbs on scales

I have only put 30k sense 99 on this car and the paint is very nice

I think I am gonna ask 14k for it maybe 15k
If they want triple adjustable shocks?

I have put SO much time & money in this car I could not let it go for much <img src="http://members.rennlist.com/luke/Picture%20065.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src="http://" alt=" - " /> under that

Larry,

Very nice looking car! Best of luck selling it. I like the cage. Custom or aftermarket? Looks a little like a Safety Devices cage but I never saw an X brace on the drive door as an option. Also, what model Sparco seats? Do you like'm? Did they give you more headroom? Thanks.

cage is a custom deal...... seats are sparco evos
and I like them alot....... I sat in every seat that sparco makes at the P.R.I show and for me
(5'8" and 150lbs) They feel great, but i would not mind a bit tighter on my bum....... My boss has a set of momo top nascars which are very tight on me.........I think I will end up with another set of evo's in my miata.......also the seat are set on the floor of the car for extra helmet clearance.......

take care

Larry, when you build a Miata for the rallies, does the car need to be stock? How far can you tweak it? Reason I ask is, my neighbor is planning on putting a Ford 302 in his old Miata. He tells me that it is a no brainer, with the engine fitting perfectly in the compartment. I've tried searching on the Web on modifications like what he described but couldn't find any.
Good luck with your S2. If you were closer, I'd drive by and check it out.

I plan to build the car to scca group 5 rally rules......

Which means I can do almost anything to the motor, which i plan to do!

First thing is to find a good miata, one that has been taken care off and looks nice.....
than the strip car seem weld all joints, build cage
install seats, skid plate and put a garret t3 super 60 turbo on that bitch and go rippin in the woods.........................

200hp to the wheels in a miata is easy to get with a bit of boost and at almost 800lbs lighter than my S2 it should be nice........
