Question Race fuel needed

Does anyone have a good vendor in the Northern New Jersey area for race fuel? Looking for VP Performance unleaded or Sunoco GT. Think those are the two options I have without big $$
Would love to just find a pump and not buy pails or drums since I'm looking for "low" 100 octane race fuel.

John,

www.VPRacingFuels.com will ship to you UPS or Fed Ex. They sell MS-103 unleaded in several size drums. Distributors are Newark, De. & Balt., Md.. If you need some for Lime Rock Club Race let me know and I can bring you a drum or two.

THe distributor for Sunoco Race fuel should be able to let you know where all the dealers are. I think there's one near Morristown and there's one in Point Pleasant.

Not exactly sure. Maybe $180. per drum, $6. a gallon but your motor will spool up faster saving you .000003 seconds making up for that missed shift;> I just picked up 3 drums but I burn the invoices.

R+M/2:103 $172.50 for a 30 ga. drum= $5.75

That is VP's info on the MS103. When you are spending 1,200. or so on fresh rubber, 450. on brake pads... does $1. a gallon matter or is the blend over 100 wasted in stock class?

Umm, Am I missing something. They sell the 100 Octane stuff at Limerock for the same price of buying the drums elsewhere. Why would you transport fuel then. Also, I use the higher octane fuel not for increased performance, but reduction of detonation in a hot engine.

Sunoco 100 probably has a motor octane of 94-97. I did not look it up. VP103 has a motor octane of 99 and research octane of 107. Huge spread at only .75 a gallon. That is why I haul it around.

Thanks for all the information and offers. A fellow 928 racer in CT is going to bring me some Sunoco 110 leaded for under $5.00/gal.
