Post Rennlist Racing and TRG Posters and...

I was speaking to John D. yesterday, and he mentioned that the pictures I have posted recently have resulted in a lot of positive feedback from you folks. I just wanted to say "THANKS" for all the nice comments. I hope to continue providing more photos as the racing season progresses.

In fact, John mentioned the possibility of doing some wallpapers featuring "rennlist.com" racecars. ...perhaps featuring a new one every few weeks. I think it's a cool idea, so I'll be working on a few things for you during the weekend. If you have any requests...

I apologize in advance for getting self-indulgent, but yesterday was a good day. Not only did I get a chance to talk to Mr. Dunkle (one of the most enthusiastic "Porsche" people I've ever met), I also received the first press prints of the TRG Daytona victory poster.

I know that a number of you are awaiting yours, and I hope you'll be pleased with the result. I have one copy taped to my office wall in front of me so I can constantly critique it (I tend to be my own harshest critic). However, it actually looks better than I hoped.

A couple weeks ago, I was getting extremely frustrated as I tried to tweak the colors on the pre-press poster proof (try saying that four times, really fast!). "It's supposed to be BLUE, *not* GREEN," I kept telling the guy who ran the print.

I was just about to throw in the towel and call the whole thing off. At the height of my frustration, I logged onto Rennlist and noticed that Bill H. and John D. were already selling the posters via Rennlist. ...God bless their enthusiasm.

Apparently, the orders were already piling up from folks who wanted to help with the TRG Le Mans effort. So, it was back to work for me...

Anyway, for those of you awaiting your posters, you might be happy to know that the car is BLUE. ...and it's as close to the original 35mm slide as I could have ever hoped (I'd rather be lucky than good).

Enjoy it, and look for some more stuff from me soon.

Sears Point is next on the schedule, and I really love taking pictures at that track.

Great photos Bob!
A real class act.

The ones with tires off the ground I especially like.
