It would be expensive to build. Just because the technology is old doesn't mean it would be cheap to produce today. I bet it would cost even more than the 996.

Paul Mumford who has both a Viper GTS and an S2000 said that at Laguna Seca, his S2000 was only a couple of seconds behind his Viper. He actually got FTD that day last January against a boat-load of fast cars, including Vipers & Porsches.

Jean-Marc, Didn't mean to say it wasn't a capable car. I too have driven them at the track and just not for me.
