PCA Club Racing Track wish list...
Now that I have begun my PCA Club Racing Career, living in the South I obviously have tracks that are on my list to visit...Roebling Road, Sebring, Road Atlant and VIR...what are other tracks I should consider as "Must Race On" tracks in the Club Racing calender. Help me out with what makes them so desirable.

MAC,
You would enjoy a 3 day event at Summit Point. The one thing that is missing in the southern tracks is elevation. The up and down hills of tracks like VIR, Summit, Watkins Glen and Lime Rock add a new demension.
If you decide to try Summit, bring your rig to Camp Walczak. Plenty for the family to see and do in the Annapolis area while we are getting a track fix. Summit Point is a 2 hour tow from me.

If you can make it up to VIR and Summit Point, then you might as well keep going north to Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. The best 2 tracks in the Northeast USA. (I've done DE's on both: my favorite is still Lime Rock Park: it's got magic, I tell you!)
Also: if you're already at Watkins Glen, you might as well hike on up to Canada: from what I've heard, Mosport is pretty awesome!
Of course, I'm assuming you're independantly wealthy and can take off and go racing for several months in a row!

Hey Mac...
You could always pay a visit to Carolina Motorsport Park. I have never been there myself so I could not tell you much about it, but I do know that PCA does a race there in November.

For clubrcr: You are so right! If I could only catch you...shouldn't you be in Class C?
To Sloth: CMP will be one for me this year. Moderately close and fun.
To Z-man: Not independently wealthy enough that I can take the Eastern North American tour. That would be fun but my kids are into horses so I must continue to work.
Any West Coasters out there?

Tracks are like blind dates (long time ago) they are all fun. CMP was a nice track but all those 2nd gear corners and killer track curbing. My first lap I tracked out onto the curbing launching onto the front straight. My lap timer & rear view mirror fell off.
CMP is also as flat as Roebling but not as much rhythm. Lots of point and shoot. Summit Point is far more exciting to drive.

Hey Bill;
Do you need some super glue for your car?
Summit sounds promising. I haven't seen anything yet on the 2003 calender for them yet. Any idea on dates?
BTW, since you are going all the way to Sebring, are you planning Road Atlanta as well?

May not be on the Club calendar yet but word from Potomac Region is the SP Club Race will be the first weekend in October, 3-5, if I remember correctly.

To Open Air: Dad was a great mentor and I appreciated him allowing a quick pass...
To Stuttgart: Horses will ALWAYS be more expensive than Porsches...you don't generally have to pay someone to board them or you don't generally need to buy more than ten acres of land to hold them. Finally, you can get a nice exhaust upgrade for the price of a decent saddle.
Sebring is sounding like another great weekend. Was there for the DE portion last year and was blown away by the number of cars from across the country. I just hope this year we can avoid the rain!!!
To Karl S: Thanks for the date. That may work. Summit has lots of supporters.
See you all in Sebring I hope...

Ahhhh, great tracks all! However, we must not overlook the gastronomic dimension! Can these tracks match the fine dining available in downtown Pooler such as Spanky's or El Potro? I need high-quality oats to keep PMS993 galloping.
