Awesome video feature
I saw this from MoTeC at PRI and was blown away. It is not a brand new feature, just something they have in their system that I was unaware of.
As with many systems you can overlay data from different laps or drivers.
MoTeC also integrates video, which you sync the the data, in a worksheet.
What I didn't know is that if you select the overlay in such a video sheet, you will also get side-by-side videos.
You could watch two drivers, both data and video for comparison and coaching.
I have no idea if any other systems do this, but it is worth looking into if you have data and video integration.
On another front, many of the GPS systems now allow you to drive an inside line, then an outside line so your maps show the full track width. You need to be a little careful from day to day - while GPS can be very repeatable over a short period, you may get a drift of up to a couple of feet day-to-day unless you use a dual system with a reference point. Regradless, you can see pretty true lines lap to lap and see the sector times as well. Quite a cool tool for playing with the fast way around the track.

No - as far as I know, Motec does not have any sort of demo online of this feature. The GPS stuff I mentioned is being done by various Data companies - Motec and others, as well as Blackline GPS who make the gear. The only one that I am sure does the offset correction with a second GPS is Motec.

Mark, the new Cup will have Motec and I am looking to add video with data overlay. Will it do that or will I need to use the Aim David and sync wiith the motec data? Any thoughts are appreciated.

If you are going with Motec, you should really consider the ChaseCam for video as it is going to give you the most integration.
