996 engine destroyed. 997S to replace it. What differences matter?

well, it only takes a day to swap an engine and you don't pay for the warranty so labour would be ~1500-2000. with jason andreas' figures that would put one at around 10K for engine + labour.

I had to pay for a core also which was 2.4k I think.
