Autobahn PCA event
Wednesday, I attended a Michiana PCA event at the Joliet Autobahn, a condo/countryclub race track.
On the plus side, the south track is very nice, though featureless, so its necessary to memorize every turn rapidly. The turns ar high speed, so it's in large part a fourth gear course in a tt.
On the negative side, there is an unpublicized 105 db limit, so some some guys had to go home early. I didn't see readily available compressed air or gas, so we had to leave the track to refuel. Maybe it was there, just nobody easily identified to help out.
I didn't understand the decible limit as the Joliet speedway is very close, and I dont think NASCAR has a db limit. Also seems that something should be said to entrants before they drive a long ways re noise limits. AS
