Default Boxster v. deer at Roebling Road DE last weekend?

Anybody hear about the incident at a Chin event at Roebling last weekend of a Boxster v. a deer? My mechanic was telling me about it yesterday and showed me a picture from a 914 message board. Driver was OK but the front end of the Boxster was toast.

PCA DE this past weekend at Road America, a Boxster S missed a deer between turn 5 & 6 by less than a foot. Do any other tracks have a "deer" flag? At RA they have a deer flag at start / finish to let drivers know deer have been spotted on / near the track.

The 951 front end may be a little stronger than the Boxter. I had a deer strike at around 130 in the rain. A smallish yearling, dead amidships. No deer left, aside from the well distributed Bambi burger everywhere.

Removed the now hydroformed header panel, and raced later that day.

Tony,
Your lucky that is all that happened to your car. Glad you were OK! I have missed a few animals, but never a deer. We had a mother turtle at NHIS who refused to move because her nest was right at the APEX! We'd move her and she would come back. You could hear her HISS as you drove by.

I understand driver was OK. However, my region frequents that track in Feb and Oct and are warned about the deer on the backside of the track not in turn-1. Not sure what happened to that deer but the one that hit my car a few years ago did a tripple sow cow off my roof and scampered away, no sausage for me.

Hopefully no gators at homestead over fathersday weekend.

I've seen them standing on the top of the dirt berm on the outside of the downhill at Lime Rock. Also, turtles and rabbits.

Summit Point is nature's playground. Deer, groundhogs, fox on occasion, and more. Firnd of mine had a deer jump clear over the hood of his 911, confirmed by the still-shocked instructor who thought he was eating early that day.

No "deer" flag at Sebring but they do have a "tornado" flag which Suncoast Region gave to them after a tornado was spotted close to the track during an Instructor school a few years ago. They need a Sand Hill Crane flag at Moroso for the idiot Sand Hill Cranes that walk right up to and across the track while cars are going by.

watkins glen has deer and other furry creatures. no flag, but the corner workers will flash the dear "sign", which is basically stick your head around the fence and hold your hands up like antlers.
