FYI - Special Ticket REQUIRED for Sebring Porsche Corral
Thanks to Rennlist member LUISJR993 I discovered that in order to park in the Porsche Corral at the upcoming 12 Hours of Sebring you have to purchase a special ticket. Do the link Sebring Tickets and look for the IMSA Corral pricing.
This is the first year they (IMSA) are doing this and the deadline to purchase the Corral Ticket is March 10. You will not be able to purchase a corral pass on race day.

There will be a PCA Membership station within the Porsche Owners Corral at Sebring from Thursday afternoon, March 16th through Saturday, March 18th. The Porsche Owners Corral is hosted by Florida Porsche dealers with the cooperation of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and the American Le Mans Series. There will be scheduled appearances by Porsche race drivers for informal talks and autographs. On Friday, March 17th at 6:45 pm, IMSA will offer supervised Parade laps of the track with a two lap maximum open to the first 100 registered Porsches on a first come, first serve basis. Registration for the Parade Laps will be at the Corral tent for credentialed participants only. Special features for the weekend will include a "Long Distance Award," raffle drawings for an "Honorary Pit Crew Member" with a Porsche race team, and a "Hot Pit" escorted tour. For information please contact Zone 12 Rep, Bob Barren, 904-268-8877 or dorabob@comcast.net and also visit the IMSA website, www.imsaracing.net for the latest event schedule. Corral admission requires a Sebring Porsche Corral ticket package – for information contact Sebring Raceway at 800-626-7223 or www.sebringraceway.com. Parking in the Porsche Owners Corral will be for Porsches only and limited to 200 parking spaces. "For Sale" signs on cars will not be permitted. For drawings and awards, participants must be present to win.

I stand corrected from my post to your previous post.
I would like to add that I personally think this is a 'load of greedy, self-serving Sebring operations, money grubbing crap!'
I have attended every 12 hrs starting with 1994 and this is the first time this sort of robbery has been perpetrated upon the hard core fans of the various marques. Can somebody tell me what the chapters of PCA, BMW CCA, Corvette Club, Audi Club, etc. are paying for with their expenditures for the corrals? Also, I have witnessed significant auto dealer and PCNA and BMW NA participation in the past in funding their marques corrals; has this ended or as I imagine; we the faithful spectator is being fleeced once again.
Note to you Mr. Panoz, this is not "World Class" and what happened to "For The Fans"?
You have my $10 for general parking in either your normal dust bowl (dry) or swamp (wet); and that is all you shall receive. Maybe we should create a "anti-corral" and boycott this rip-off.
Any thoughts...

At least the Porsche Corral is in a good location. Sucks for the Bimmer Corral, because their location on the outside of Turn 17 really sucks from a viewing standpoint and they have to pay the same premium.

I was at Bert Smith Porsche this past Wednesday. The salesman asked me if I was going to the 12 Hours, and if so, I should go to the Parts Department and "obtain" a ticket for the Corral. Also mentioned that they were providing a luncheon for the Porsche faithful. $170!!!??? What a rip-off!! I've gone to the 12 Hours for decades and NEVER heard of such a thing...I'll be at Sebring Monday for a Suncoast DE, and I will definitely let the "powers that be" know of our collective displeasure (Panoz's son is usually around).

It was "another ****ty day at the track" Great weather, once the fog burned off and I had a great time. Felt bad for my student, he was a 2nd time student in an '02 Audi TT. He was way to fast for the green group, 1st session we were stuck in traffic the whole time and never got any good clean laps. 2nd session we were first car out and had 2 clear laps (including the warm-up lap) before we were back in traffic. Then his turbo went out. Thought he fixed the turbo so we went out in the blue group which would be better suited for his speed, but the turbo was still out.
See you at the track,
John Sabatini
