Son and I recently returned from great de at Barber Motorsports Park. Hats off to the CGT which literally stopped traffic.

The CGT is starting to feaure at a few DE events.
This one was back in May at the Potomac DE : Carrera GT at Summit Point
Wonder how long it will be before the first CGT turns up for at a club race??

I went to this event. Although the CGT did run he didn't drive it hard - at all. I passed him twice driving a friends stock 944S2. However, it was great to see it on the track and I applaude him for driving it there, regardless of the speed.
The same guy must have been the owner of the red Ferrari 430 there as well. The blond guy cleaning the barf from the CGT was driving the F430 around in the parking lot area and kept it parked with the CGT. However, I never saw the F430 on the track. Although a F360 Challenge/ GT car did run - and very fast, but owned/ driven by someone else. The CGT exhaust note was quite and muted. I think my 997S maybe louder. However the F360 sounded amazing, especially as it blew past me at speed on the track.
It's funny, as I had just walked passed him (were he was cleaning the car next to the bathroom) must have been moments before the posted pic was taken.
Also, I found it interesting that the CGT had dealer plates on it! I didn't talk with the owner or the younger guy, so I didn't get any more info.

Tom: The whole place was pretty excited to see the car, both parked and on the track; albeit at slow speeds as Mark indicated. Also, I was told the younger guy is/was the owner's son.

renvagn,
There was a CGT (as well at a GT3 and Mustang - all separate accidents) damaged at VIR back in May 05
