I'm in the market for a helmet as well and have been primarily looking at the Bells (b/c of their moderate pricing and reputation), but it seems like G-Force is a brand to look at.

Since the SA2005s won't be out until Oct-ish and I have a DE coming up in Aug. how long would a SA2000 helmet be good until? Should I try borrowing a helmet until the SA2005s come out instead of getting a SA2000?

It is kind of strange that anyone would be requiring people to replece 95 rated helmets this year. Every track and sanctioning body I've dealt with (PCA, NCCC (National Corvette Club), SCCA, and all the tracks in my area (including IHRA and NHRA dragstrips)) allow 10 years on helmet certifications. Not saying somebody might not allow it, but it seems kind of wierd. I'd push for them to allow you to use your 95 certified helmet this year, and then buy an 05 certified helmet next year.
