Finishing up some cage work at the shop...
Thought you guys might be interested in taking a look at some of the stuff we've been working on lately: 3l turbo rollbar, 9146 12pt cage build, PCA F Prep 951 build, etc...
Bah!@#$! having issues with file sizing. Check out my gallery for the real pics.
More to come!

Can't see the back view very well, but the one from the windshield looks good. Did you build the cage from scratch? I putting one in a 944S right now, and am probably going to get the kit from Kirk in Birmingham. Do you have NASCAR bars in the doors? I am required to have them by SCCA rules.

from scratch. better product that way.
The 3l turbo (white car) is just a 4 point roll bar at this point. I'll post some pics in my gallery of the driver's side protection we use (an X design, similar to the factory GT3 Cup solution) on an FP 951.
Nascar bars are fine, but heavy (and costly for the customer, as well!).

Just curious, why only one diagonal from the shock towers? This might be splitting hairs, but I would think that would unevenly strengthen the shock towers.
Edit: or wait, maybe that's not the shock towers. I'm not familiar with 944's.

There's a horizontal bar reinforcing/tieing the rear framerails at that point (which is close to the shock mounts). The diagonal is to stiffen the entire structure, opposite the diagonal in the main hoop. Having an X there (from both the rear legs to the main hoop) would be redundant due to the other existing diagonal (in the main hoop). The aforementioned horizontal bar at the base of the rear legs would tie the shock towers if that were the case in the 944 chassis (it is not).

Oh, and you are absolutely NOT required to have NASTYCAR bars in an IT car. Touring requires NASTYCAR bars, but IT still accepts the X. I'm not a fan of NASTYCAR bars.
