Gee, first it was Cup cars whizzing by me. Now it will be 800 hp (so I hear) red Turbos. I think I'll go play on the go-kart track instead.
Brian, please post a pic of the front of your car. I need to know what it looks like so I'll know it's you in my rear-view mirror... Not that the closing speed won't be an indication.

You'll see me, I'll either be in the grass or the trees, but hopefully not the wall....
I'll have a whole new setup for this event so I doubt I'll be pushing it too hard the first event out.

Well, If the Cup Car is not ready for the Atlanta Club Race, maybe I'll have one last fling in the TT and see if I can get to 2:01!
Plus I want to see exactly how much HP Brian really has down the back straight. And if he can brake at the 1 marker

Sent in my application but not confirmed.
Applied for mazda the week before this event as well. I did the Grand course last weekend with Tarheel BMW and as stated before it is very tight for P cars. Mazda s will like the infield part but I spent a lot of time on the Rumble strips( which are higher and rougher - newer- than the rest of the track). Met my first instrutor there and took him for a ride. He's in the passenger seat here as we round Oak tree. Can you hear him saying " Uh..., I think we're supposed be over there!!!!"

OK everybody. One more week until VIR. Anyone other Rennlisters going to be there? Come by the turbo ghetto to say hey. Just look for Brian's shiny new (to him) 1000hp 930, A930 Rocket's Black 930 and my Flat Black C2T.

and the only thing I see across the street is an airport. If "Brian" is sleeping there tell him to bring a good sleeping Bag! It gets quite cold at night.
Mazda club tomorrow at VIR. Supposed to be nice so, of course, I put my street tires back on !!!! Lots of Corvettes and RX7 s ( all wearing slicks) at the tech line. Oh well, I'll be the fastest on Sunday when the Monsoons hit and I'm alone on the track.
Two weeks ago I was first on the wait list for zone 2 event in the solo (black, no instructor needed) run group. Received an email today saying there is no space available and they will tear up my check!
How do they know, over a week in advance, that there is no room and that no one will cancel? Sounds a little strange to me.
