Anyone Auto-X a 996TT or C4s
The Auto-X board traffic is a little lite so I thought I would ask the questions here.
I just bought a 996TT and wondered if anyone has set up one to Auto-X or run at a tight time trial venue such as Streets of Willow?.
The car runs in A-Steet Prepared at SCCA Solo events so suspension is effectively unlimited as to shocks, springs, sway bars, camber, caster and toe settings. I hope to get the car out in the next two weeks at a San Diego Qualcom event.
On tight turns on the street ( Not the best place to test) it seems to push a little. Some of this may just be dirving style. Also, the current rear tires are 19/315's with 235's on the front which don't help. I'll be using 8.5/18's and 11/18's width rims with R compound tires. I think this car will take a bit of work to get "dialed" in. I'm use to rear wheel drive cars with about the same lowend torque which are easy to rotate.
I'm co-driving an ASP Corvette at SCCA National events so this car will be used for local PCA and SCCA events.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Also, If anyone has Greg Fordahl's Tel # would you e-mail it to me.
Have Fun and Happy Holiday! Steve
