Thanks Mark, made me feel like I was there !! Nothing like the suspense of racing. It seems like things never work out totally as planned, you have to adapt to the situation and overcome whatever adversity is thrown your way. Good job and congrats.

BTW - Here is a sequence of shots from T8 on the second lap. Just before the first shot, the track was mostly blocked and I had the brakes locked trying to stay out of the mess.

Cool sequence, Mark

Look at the move the red car made on the silver with checkered tail between frames 1 and 2.

And unfortunately we can't tell from those shots whether your eyes wee open or closed.

My eyes were open. I can remember seeing my palms as I covered them up.

HAAAA... you must have X-RAY vision to see thru those gloves!

That looks like a Formula 1 start, Mark!

Thank goodness for the face shields, otherwise if you're not careful, you could poke yourself in the eye

DAS let me down. The transducer went full scale and then failed.

If someone has space to host 3+ MB of data, I will send it for all to download. You can PM me with details and I can send you the files.

Is that the curved plastic thingy that came with my helmet? I never have figured out how to use it. I asked the Professor, but he was busy trying to understand how to mount tear-offs.

Better than the professor trying to just tear off the face shield. He'd need both hands and a really long straight to do that...

Default Data

For those that want the data, I got my Rennlist site working (thanks John) and have posted the needed files. If you want to play with it, it takes a few steps.
Go to the MoTeC site:
MoTeC
and download the Interpreter.
Then download each of the files below.

Data

Template

Math

After installing the interpreter, you will have to move the data file to the "Logged Data" Directory under the Motec Directory. Start the software and under File - Interpreter Configuration - Load (both template and math) from wherever you saved the above files.

At that point, you should have access to the data, the configuration and the math to process it.

Let me know if you have issues making this work.

Mark:

I can host. You will probably need to send me a hard copy though as my e-mail won't handle that big of a file, I think. I am willing to try e-mail first if you want. I will send my e-mail address by pm.

Thanks for the data. I will try to have a look but I'm weak with Motec software. I will try to port it to AIM if I have time but I leave for Putnam tomorrow.

Sorry - I wasn't clear. I don't need it hosted as I was able to get it up on my Rennlist site. The data is available via those links.
