E-Track mounting in Race Trailer
I have purchased a new race trailer and was going to be putting E-Track along each of the side walls of the trailer. Does anyone know how high (what is the standard height) the horizontal E-Track should be from the floor?
Thanks,
Barry

Most of the trailers I see are about 3 feet off the floor. Just make sure that is complatible with the stuff you want to hold in place.

I agree with Matt, 3' for a single strip of E track is what you typically see.
I've also seen another strip or short section about 1' off the floor, to hold items that require 2 straps, like a nitrogen bottle or an EZ-up tent.

Hey;
The question to ask first is will my wall structure handle the prospective loads? Many lower cost trailers do not have the sturdiest wall structures, and if you cannot tie the e-track into the wall studs (hopefully steel or aluminum), then the tracks load rating will be very low. Simply screwing into plywood or 2x4s is not going to gain you much, and will probably tear out.
If it were me, I would probably have two sections at 2&4' off the floor height. The 2' would handle short items, and both could handle taller ones. If I was only going with one length, then I'd agree with the others here. 3' seems right.
