Default 98-04 GT3 Cup Cars

Where is the best place to find information on the detail differences between the various cup cars? For instance (some info might be wrong)

98-99 first year cars and are difficult to set up suspension (why?)
00-01 still motronics 5.2 but revised trans, air flow, cable shifter
02-04 Bosch Motorsports 3.1 ECU Carrera 4 chassis used as a base revised front end

These are just a few examples of the type of information I'm looking for.

TIA
