I'll second Jim childs comments on Mid Ohio. I destroyed a new set of Khumos at the Club Race and I didn't run all the practice sessions.

Z-Man - I just finished my first DE day on the Toyo's and I like them very much. I had run Michelin MXX3's, Kumho Ecsta's and Victoracers. All of them pale to the RA-1's. They heat up quickly but don't seem to go away. I was instructing today and we had hour-long DE sessions. Tires were very consistent from beginning to end.
Watch the pressure build from cold. Mine shot up 10 pounds. I'm still dialing in pressures, but 37 hot is where I am today on my stock 968 (3000+ pounds).
I would be interested in your impression once you've had a chance to run them.

On my 968 they seemed to do best at about 41-42 hot.

Dave Swanson & Jim Child:
Regarding tire pressures: Thanks!! This is great information, since I drive a 944S2, and the overall characteristics of my car is similar to yours. Of course, I could use your extra 30+ hp...
Hopefully Mid-Ohio won't tear up the new tires too badly...
Thank you all for your help! Rennlist rocks!

On my 2600 lbs spec car I start at 32.5 cold and run them 38-39 hot. I like to keep them under 40, BUT your car is heavier so 40-41 might be better. Advice is shoot for 40 and move in 2 psi incrementsuntil you find what you like for your car and driving style.
Remeber the first coupel heat cycles will seem a little slick. They will get much better!
