Jerry Austin....RIP??
I saw a random post on FB from a friend/PCA Scrutineer/Rennlist member that Jerry Austin (amso3) had passed away!?! Can anyone confirm/deny (Jerry??)
Jerry was basically our first intro into AiM and the world of data systems. We attended the AiM Seminar he hosted in Tampa with Roger Cadell many years ago and previously had bought a few Solo's from him that I sold to a couple friends (All still work!) He's been a staple in the AiM data engineering world for a long time, was a PCA Scrutineer, and was the engineer for Hairy Dog Grrrage. Any info?? Anyone? |
So sorry to hear that. Jerry was the original club level data support guy. With both MoTeC and AiM. RIP.

Appears to be true:
https://obituaries.bangordailynews.c...tin-1083396305 I bought my first AiM product from Jerry back in 2011. He was always helpful and quite knowledgeable and an all around nice person. |

Oh ****.
Damn. R.I,P, Jerry. Helluva guy |
RIP Jerry. A true gentleman, great advocate for the sport and a great mentor and PCA National colleague for me. He will be missed.

I remember meeting Jerry almost 25 years ago and having him as an instructor at Watkins Glen. He was a great guy, dedicated family man, and terrific engineer/fabricator. RIP Jerry.

Dammit. What a great guy. He will be missed.

Terrible news. Was first one to help me with data at my first winter in sebring. Such a nice guy. RIP

Damm it, I first meet Jerry when I got my Aim system form him (and Sharon) a few years back and Jerry was very helpful through the years with answering questions, what if's, and mods. Jerry was always willing to help, answer emails, and went out of his way to make every interaction with him trusting and honest, the way we would hope all rennlist transactions would be among enthusiasts. Thoughts and hearts go out to Sharon and his family.
RIP Jerry. |

I had a few interactions with Jerry over the years. I didn't know him well, but in line with other comments here he always seemed like a good guy. RIP.
