Very cool! I was with Pete Argetsinger two weeks ago and he has some great stories about his Dad, F1 parties, and the antics of the drivers back then. Pete has some great old photos at his house of back in the day, that his brother wrote, and his mom (Cameron's wife) is the one that started the Motor Racing Research Library in Watkins Glen.

I was there Friday during Metro NY's lunch break; I've been there so many times but there's always something new, or something old that I haven't gotten to yet.....

And the '60 TR3 in the main room wasn't bad to look at either--surrounded by photos of the PO racing it. Old British cars and the Glen go together like PB&J

Few places better than sitting out on Pete's front porch with a glass of wine after a long day at the track. The Argetsingers are truly American road racing royalty.

He came to the Glen during a track day couple years back in his 50s MG.....saw it parked with the string-back gloves on the dash. Truly an "awwww maaaan" moment

I also just got back from Watkins Glen with Metro. Went to several Grand Prixs in the 60's, Jimmy Clark was my hero. I did my second SCCA race school at the Glen in 1968 on the 3rd version of the track and ran the current version near the end of my racing in 1976. I found it interesting that the video was sponsored by British Leyland. I raced an MGB and they would pay prize money for podium finishes in SCCA Nationals and paid "Tow" money when I earned a slot at the SCCA runoffs. They hired Huffaker Engineering to develop race engines and shared that info at a cost of $2.00 for the manual. Using that manual, I built my own "Huffaker" engine.

Wish I could turn my Mini into one of those insane tube-frame jobs that Huffaker raced/races in the Runoffs, Bill
