Default Austrian Grand Prix

FP2 was pretty eventful today. It'll be interesting to see how things play out tomorrow in FP3 and Qualifying.

Definitely interesting but quite a few crashes. Let’s see what type of pace the top 3 teams have when they get clean unhindered laps on soft or medium tires. Qualifying should be interesting

I've never seen wind destabilize the rear ends like that before,.

That Bottas hit was quite the impact... Lifted the entire car when it hit the rail. Will be interesting to see how he and Max bounce back. I don't think it phases Max tbh...

25G's. Must've rung his bell a bit if nothing else. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/b...crash/4484221/

The downside of trying to catch it vs going two feet in. Better to sacrifice a set of tires than a whole bunch of carbon and titanium bits....

Technically, VER should have left racing room for LEC at track out (just like he did in the previous lap), and he didn't. But VER was better and faster (driver of the day, by far) and deserved his win. Taking it away with a penalty would be counter-productive, and this is a good example of where stewards' discretion should come into play.

awesome race, really good watch. I hate it for Leclerc....thought it was his race. As much as I dislike verstappen, the kid can drive.....and christian horner and team red bull seem to have their stuff more together and have better planning the ferrari....

Great race, VER and LEC are the future and what a bright future it is for F1. Max got the better of Charles today with a nice move (although the jury’s still out on whether Max left enough room on the outside for LEC)! Vettel appears to be fading fast before our eyes and hey...there goes the conspiracy theory of Mercedes winning every race in 2019! F1 is alive and well.

Great Race!

Max and Charles both did great, and I'm a fan of both. I lean towards no penalty for Max in that corner, but I understand the counterargument. If Max didn't get Charles in that corner, I think Max would still have gotten him in the final laps and won the race. IMO, this is a clear case where a 5 sec penalty wouldn't have made any sense, and if a penalty was assessed, it should have been a quick decision for Max to give the position back, then they get back to racing.

The race provided a good example of what Lewis can (not) do with an inferior car.

Time for Gasly to be replaced, and maybe Kubica too (not that it would make much difference for Williams). I want to see Ocon back in a car.
