Thanks...decide to stick with the DHs and ordered a new set.....too bad the Michelins are not that great after a little use, might as well go back to R7s.

I'm trying not going back to Hoosiers R7s

FYI, I have a new sticker set of Hoosier R-7s for sale, heat treated

Size: 315/30/19

$2100 new, asking $1800

If you buy tires from a vendor like Frisby, how does PCA get a share?

They are a sponsor of PCA - I was told they give PCA additional money on the back end based on tire sales through the spec tire sales. This is what I was told . We have to buy from them to race in many Cup classes.

To me I don't have an issue if it doesn't drive up the initial cost of the tires. Or if it does marginally

I was told ..... LOL.

Just to clarify - there is no difference in price for when you buy these tires for DE or PCA Club Racing use. Also, you do not need to buy from Frisby (I am actually not sure whether JX2 still sells them) unless you want to participate in their PCA Club Racing contingency program. Yes, the Pirelli DH slick is required to run in the GTC.... Cup classes.

Default Yokos?

I don't mean to derail this thread, but my question is related. Has anybody tried the Yokohama Advan slicks? I can find some that are pretty close in diameter to the Pirelli DH takeoffs I normally use on 19" wheels. Thinking about trying a set of new ones. The DH takeoffs usually only last me two days, maybe an extra session the third day. If I could find a decent slick that would go 4 days that would be very, very nice indeed.

Nope...but would be interested in getting more info on them. Where do you buy them? Any webpage that I can see the specs?

I stopped using them about 5 years ago. I am sure their construction is very different today (I would hope):

How much difference is there between take-offs and stickers in the Pirelli DH's on a track like Mid Ohio

On a small 1:04 track new DHs were 0.4 sec faster for the first two hits (13 laps each)...then they go to take-offs times. Mid Ohio is a much bigger track so guess it could be a bit more.
