Default VinWiki/AER controversy

Hope this is not a repost...

This Bryant character is apparently rich and self-serving, made light of being yelled at (appropriately so) by AER officials after missing almost 20 flag stations showing full course yellow, passing 9 cars, running at near race pace, and passing an EV and safety worker within in a couple feet at 99mph.

The official AER response.

I think that single event ejection was far too lenient, and it's clear no lesson was learned. I think he should be banned from AER/SCCA for an year and then a probationary period after that.

There are some lengthy threads on FB about this, but I agree with you completely. Bryant is clearly lying and he took the video down from his YT page

Lots of folks have reached out to Ed from Vinwiki, I doubt he addresses it

This is crazy. He wants to race pro-am, and doesn't have the situational awareness to realize something is going on when he's all of a sudden passing everyone like they're standing still? I would be scared to be on the track with him... and agree on waaay to lenient of a punishment.

Weird. He says all this stuff like there isnt a video showing he is lying.

The first rule of going on track is "don't be that guy."

It appears he is "that guy."

WTF is Homeslice? Maybe he’s saying ham slice. That would make more sense.

That's a good one.. I especially dislike name dropping ******** like him, first it's "you know how I mentioned Henry Ford III, guess who my first call was to". Then makes thinly veiled financial threats against AER, then says how he is not malicious. Maybe his "buddies" should see this and know who they are getting in bed with.

There's a little game I like to play in situations like this, it's called "Stupid or Liar". Based on the wide difference between the facts shown and this guys interpretation, it has to be one or the other. I'm going with Stupid (with a big dose of illusory superiority) since he actually thought it was good idea to sit down and make a video about it.

That will be used as his "Humility Teaching Tool" at the foundation he and his butt-mate Henry Ford III run..

After a screw up like that the post discussion is not a "potential teachable moment" it is a time to sit there, shut up, and absorb the earned *** chewing. Then afterward offer apologies and true contrition with corrective behavior. You certainly don't make a public video to whine about it.

The only "old boys club" in this case are the boys that follow the rules and those that don't. Quite an easy club to join, but he isn't in it.

"That guy", indeed. (Yeah, I'm going with stupid too, enhanced with a topping of arrogance).
