Curious to see what the ratio between sprint participation and enduro participation winds up being.

Totally forgot to sign up. Thanks for the reminder.

In, of course. Despite the dumb mini-enduro.

X2. I'm going to do enduro, but don't prefer it. Boycotting it only screws myself, as I've already spent the time and money to make the trek.

I'm thinking that we should all put an "X" or something like that in painters tape on our cars for the enduro as a "visual vote" to show we prefer a 1.5 hour enduro. If all, or the vast majority of the cars do this, they won't confuse taking part in the enduro as being in favor of the shorter time.

Any thoughts on this idea?

Sprint only to send a message, may sign up at the track

For stock class we ran the Baby on Board stickers for like 3 years before the passenger seat rule was changed

Didn't realize you could sign-up at the track ...

I didn't mind the shortened Enduro in the poring rain at Road Atlanta this past Sunday. Rivers flowing across the track and standing puddles. Nerve wracking, and I usually do not mind rain.

If we get the usual Sunday Glen weather, we'll be glad it's only an hour.

All good Chairs are open to the input, but be polite and do not forget to thank the VOLUNTEERS and Chairs for all they do - so you can race. Seems like they explained why the change.

From Club Reg Page:
**After the morning warm-up sessions, we will have three 60 minute Enduro races that will run back-to-back through the normal Watkins Glen lunch hour. This will allow for maximum participation with no refueling and drivers being able to do the whole Enduro with or without a co-driver or team support. The change also makes for an earlier finish and the ability to get home at a more reasonable time.
Seem like volunteers are contributing too - working thru lunch on Sunday. So everyone can get home earlier.

Organizing Track events, be it DE or CR or combo of both, comes with a lot of "parties" to satisfy and an army of non racing VOLUNTEERS to recruit - who put in all their time so others can enjoy a weekend of safe fun. I have watched at the end of many a Club Race when the 1st (2nd or even 3rd) enduro drivers are packing up and leaving for home while the Sunday CR volunteers continue to work to the end of the enduo day. Don't begrudge them the opportunity to get home a little earlier too.

Have fun, be safe out there.
