Default SOLD

SOLO 2 for Sale (2)I have two (2) Generation 2 units for sale, I ordered the first one in February of this year, misplaced it, and ordered the second one. Of course I found the first one..ergo, I now have two (2).

I will sell these units and apply the funds to an upgraded AiM unit, a MXm, or?

I have all the parts, owners manuals for both units, in addition. I DO NOT HAVE THE BOX FOR THE SECOND UNIT.

The first unit was used once, at Laguna Seca , its replacement unit has never been to the track, it's only a week old, purchased it this month.

I will sell the original LOST unit for $340,, new they are $399...the brand new one for $360, and will pop for the shipping. Buyer pays for PayPal fees, approximately 3%. Other modes of payment will be considered.

I can send pics on Sunday.

Default Down to one unit

Sold the $340 unit, have the $360 brand new unit left. Have everything that came with the new unit, of course I do, it's 3 weeks old.

SOLO, the original compact timer/data logger.

SOLO 2, second generation, will support AiM SmartyCam

SOLO 2 DL, has a second port to accept data from the DME output.

All of the current AiM Data Loggers run on Race Studio 3 software.

Below is an article I wrote about 5 years ago. It's a little dated, but the message is there. You'll have to read it to discover it.

If you want to get a good overview of data logging, read Making Sense of Squiggly lines by Chris Brown, fascinating read.

This is not correct. Solo and Solo 2 are stand along GPS lap timers that give you GPS measures (speed, position, calculated g force, etc) for analysis. Solo DL and Solo 2 DL are the above along with a connection to the car and an AiM Smartycam (all varieties).

The Solo 2 and Solo 2 DL are the current versions that have the various color backlights for the screen, GPS and Glonass satellite antenna, shift or predictive lights, etc.

SmartyCam HD connection with SOLO 2 DL
According to AiM: "The perfect connection: get all the data from your ECU, merge them with the GPS information and transmit everything to the SmartyCam HD, that will show them in graphical overlay in the video."I had been told, but now don't believe it, the SOLO 2 would integrate with SmartyCam, but don't see how. The only in port to the SOLO 2 is the power connection. The SOLO 2 DL as seen on the AiM website, displays the SmartyCam connection to the SOLO 2 DL, and two ports, the in power port, and the in/out port to the ECU and SmartyCam. Get in touch with Matt R. or Peter K. and they will clear up the issue. Matt, BTW, specifically offers life time support. Pretty generous for lower end of the AiM offering, the SOLO 2 and the SOLO 2 DL.
